A chapter-linked timeline of Śrī Caitanya's life as narrated across all three books of Śrī Caitanya Bhāgavata. Each entry links to the chapter where that phase is narrated in full.

  1. Birth at Navadvīpa during a lunar eclipse, to Jagannātha Miśra and Śacīdevī (Ch. 2).
  2. Childhood pastimes, mischief, and the beginning of his scholarly education (Ch. 4–6).

  4. Marriage to Lakṣmīpriyā; continued life and reputation as a brilliant young scholar (Ch. 10).
  5. The turning point: traveling to Gayā for his father's funeral rites, he meets Īśvara Purī, receives initiation, and returns transformed (Ch. 11).
  6. Visible ecstatic states in Navadvīpa; defeats the scholar Digvijayī in debate (Ch. 12–13).

Book 2 — Madhya-khaṇḍa: the public saṅkīrtana mission

  1. Public teaching of saṅkīrtana begins; the Pañca-tattva figures gather one by one — Śrīvāsa, Nityānanda, Advaita Ācārya, Gadādhara (Ch. 1–7).
  2. An extended period of publicly visible ecstatic and opulent states (the mahā-prakāśa pastimes) (Ch. 8–10).
  3. The deliverance of Jagāi and Mādhāi — one of the work's best-known episodes (Ch. 13).
  4. Numerous devotee-glorification episodes: Śrīdhara, Śuklāmbara, Murāri Gupta, and others (Ch. 16–20).
  5. The Kazi's confrontation with, and conversion to, the saṅkīrtana movement — a mass public procession through Navadvīpa (Ch. 23).
  6. Śrīvāsa's dead son delivers a discourse on the soul (Ch. 25).
  7. The Lord's own desire for sannyāsa becomes evident, and devotees are pacified in anticipation of separation (Ch. 26–27).
  8. Acceptance of sannyāsa — the name Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya is formally taken (Ch. 28).

Book 3 — Śeṣa-khaṇḍa: the years at Jagannātha Purī

  1. Reunion with Advaita Ācārya as a sannyāsī; travel from Bengal through Bhuvaneśvara to Jagannātha Purī (Ch. 1–2).
  2. Deliverance of Sārvabhauma Bhaṭṭācārya; revelation of the six-armed form; return journey toward Bengal (Ch. 3).
  3. Pastimes of child devotee Acyutānanda and the lineage of Mādhavendra Purī described (Ch. 4).
  4. Extended, independent glorification of Nityānanda's own pastimes (Ch. 5–6).
  5. Pastimes in Gadādhara's garden and water sports at Narendra-sarovara near Purī (Ch. 7–8).
  6. Further travels are referenced across the work's own chapter-outline verses (Book 1, Ch. 1): to Vārāṇasī, to Setubandha, and repeatedly toward Mathurā-Vṛndāvana, always returning to Purī.
  7. The text as it survives closes with the glories of Advaita Ācārya and of Puṇḍarīka Vidyānidhi (Ch. 9–10).
